One Million Things: A Visual Encyclopedia

One Million Things: a Visual Encyclopedia, reviewed by Cheryl Kay, Hoyt Library Children’s Department
(DK Publishing, 2008, $24.99, 297 pages)
Recommended for ages 8 -12.

This is the perfect book for any child who wants to know about things, lots of things. It’s about things that make one wonder why and you’ll find that you may want to discover more. There are eight chapters of things to know covering subjects from nature to the human body, and from science to history. There are hundreds and thousands of photos and images to discover with every turn of the page. This book is crammed full of incredible and fascinating stuff to learn and explore. It’s a whole encyclopedia of information in one big book of One Million Things.
