A Isn't for Fox by Wendy Ulmer

A Isn’t for Fox: An Isn’t Alphabet, written by Wendy Ulmer and illustrated by Laura Knorr reviewed by Laura Pache, Children’s Librarian, Butman-Fish Library
(Sleeping Bear Press, 2007, $16.95, unpaged)
Recommended for children 4-8 years

This alphabet book is written in rhyme using two sentences per letter. “Aa - A isn’t for box; it isn’t for fox. A is for ants that crawl over your socks.” The page shows a fox falling down with a box in one paw and a colorful striped sock on another with ants crawling all over it.” Each of the colorful illustrations is delightful. What a great way for children to learn the alphabet.
