Old Bear by Kevin Henkes

Old Bear, by Kevin Henkes, reviewed by Lee Anne Haupricht, Library Assistant, Butman-Fish Library
(Greenwillow Books, 2008, $17.99, unpaged )
Recommended for preschoolers

As orange, red and brown leaves and snow swirl outside, Old Bear is cozy and warm in his den. He falls asleep and dreams of everything he loves. Old Bear remembers spring and his happy days as
a cub. Old Bear then dreams of summer, fall and winter. As he awakens, he goes outside of his den and finds the wonders of spring. This book begs to be read again and again and will become
a preschool favorite.
