Favorite Nursery Rhymes from Mother Goose illustrated by Scott Gustafson

Favorite Nursery Rhymes from Mother Goose illustrated by Scott Gustafson, reviewed by Tanya Grunwell, Children’s Department, Hoyt Library
(The Greenwich Workshop Press, 2007, 100 pages, $19.95)
Recommended for ages 4-8

One of my favorite books to look through as a child was a collection of Mother Goose rhymes. Well, I have found my new favorite Mother Goose in Gustafson’s version! Maybe you too will enjoy the beautiful, detailed, and humorous illustrations. Among the forty-five rhymes you will see a pudgy rhinoceros as Little Jack Horner, a regal lion as Old King Cole, a spritely chipmunk as Yankee Doodle, as well as some wonderfully realistic depictions of children. Choose this book for your next gift to a child or to a parent-to-be.
