Unplugged Play by Bobbi Connor

Unplugged Play: No Batteries. No Plugs. Pure Fun, by Bobbi Connor, reviewed by Linda Bryant, Hoyt Children’s Department
(Workman Publishing, 2007, 401 pages, $27.95)
Recommended for families

If spring is here, summer can’t be far behind. This is the perfect book to help fill those lazy summer days with fun. It’s packed with games and activities (710 to be exact) for children ages one to ten, and families will find plenty of reasons to turn off the electronics and enjoy some time together. Extensive lists will help keep your toy cupboard well stocked. And, best of all, none of these great activities require any batteries. So come on – let’s play!
