Power to the People by Laura Ingrahm

Power to the People, by Laura Ingraham, reviewed by John Sheridan, Local History and Genealogy Department, Hoyt Library
(Regnery Publishing, 2007, 372 pp. $35)

Laura Ingraham has worked for CBS and MSNBC before landing her own radio talk show. She is unafraid to give her opinion on modern culture and the ills that plague it. Her targets include obscene song lyrics, junk science and judges who rule that it is okay for a municipal government to take a person’s property so a commercial enterprise that pays more in taxes can be built. She doesn’t just complain but also gives possible solutions to the problems she writes about. A “how to” book for our times.
