When Television Was Young by Ed McMahon and David Fisher

When Television Was Young: The Inside Story with Memories by Legends of the Small Screen, by Ed McMahon and David Fisher, Reviewed by John Sheridan, Local History and Genealogy Librarian, Hoyt Library
(Thomas Nelson, 2007, 314 p. $24.99)

It isn’t theater and it isn’t movies; it’s television! Not only was the technology new, the format was also new and exciting. Ed McMahon relates how television developed from an unknown medium to being a part of everyday life from the perspective of one who was there. Often funny, always interesting, the reader learns how the actors, writers and technicians made television into the medium we have today where the only rule was, “Try it and see if it works.”
