Wolf's Coming by Joe Kulka

Wolf’s Coming by Joe Kulka, reviewd by Jennie Tuttle, Children’s Department, Wickes Library
(Carolrhoda Books, 2007, $15.95, unpaged)
Recommended for ages 4-8.

A distant howl through the woods announces that Wolf is on his way. The animals hurry to get inside and hide. Adults warn young animals, “Hush now, Hush Now. Not a peep. You must be still, like you’re asleep.” Featuring clear, colorful illustrations, this picture book is short on words but big on suspense with a delightful twist. This story is sure to lead to smiles and giggles.
