Duck at the Door by Jackie Urbanovic

Duck at the Door, by Jackie Urbanovic, reviewed by Lee Anne Haupricht, Children’s Department, Butman-Fish Library
(Harper Collins, 2007, $16.99, unpaged)
Recommended for ages 4-7

There’s duck at the door that has missed migrating south for the winter.
Kind hearted Irene opens her home to one more animal. Max, the duck, soon becomes an unwelcome guest to the other pets, with his hogging the remote and cooking unappetizing meals. When spring arrives, Max leaves, only to be truly missed. Children will beg to have this book read over and over and adults will be happy to oblige. This humorous book is just plain fun!
