Queen Bee by Chynna Glugston
Queen Bee, by Chynna Clugston, reviewed by Jennie Tuttle
Children’s Department, Wickes Library
(GRAPHIX, 2005, $16.99, 112 pages)Recommended for ages 9-12
Haley Madison has reinvented herself and isn’t going to let her psychokinetic powers keep her from being popular at her new school, even if it means shunning those who she would have befriended before. Everything is going Haley’s way until an even newer girl, Alexa Harmon, shows up with her own set of powers to challenge Haley’s position. When both girls enter a local American Idol-type contest, they know the winner will be the queen bee. A great manga read for girls.
